Dilip Ghosh calls for strong action as Hindu-killing terrorists target security forces, BSF jawan held hostage

In a tragic turn of events, a Bengali para commando from Nadia was killed in an encounter with militants in Kashmir. The operation, aimed at neutralizing militants, ended in the death of the soldier who was caught in crossfire. Before setting out on the mission, the commando, who had been in active service for several years, spoke to his wife, unaware that this would be their last conversation. His death has sparked outrage and calls for a swift and firm response to such acts of violence.

Dilip Ghosh, former Member of Parliament and senior BJP leader, responded strongly to this attack, emphasizing the need for decisive action. He said, "There will definitely be action; we all hope for that. Everyone wants justice. Narendra Modi and his government will certainly give an appropriate response. Those behind this will also be reached." Ghosh reiterated that this act of violence was part of a larger pattern of targeting security forces and civilians in the region.

The recent militant attack has been attributed to Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based terror group, with the deputy chief, Saifullah, identified as the mastermind. The operation involved five militants, and it was carried out in retaliation for a series of Hindu-targeted attacks in Pahalgam earlier this year. Saifullah’s role in orchestrating these attacks is seen as part of a larger effort to destabilize the region and increase tensions between India and Pakistan.

In another ongoing issue, the situation of BSF jawan P.K. Sahu, who accidentally crossed into Pakistani territory while on duty, has raised further concerns. The jawan, a resident of Rishra, has been in the custody of Pakistani Rangers for the past three days. Despite multiple rounds of diplomatic talks, there has been no significant progress in securing his release. The Ministry of Home Affairs has been actively engaged in trying to resolve the situation, with a flag meeting between Indian and Pakistani authorities being requested.

Simultaneously, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat made a statement highlighting the broader implications of such attacks. He remarked that the situation is not only about fighting terrorism but also about defending values of righteousness and justice. Bhagwat stressed that the attackers were targeting individuals based on their religion, and in such situations, the strength and unity of the country are paramount. Meanwhile, discussions also continued regarding the ongoing protests by unemployed education workers in West Bengal, with a meeting held at Bikash Bhavan where Education Minister addressed their concerns.
